Rain will cross the North Island over the next two days as the next cold front also approaches the South Island – bringing burst of rain and varying temperatures.
By Wednesday the westerlies begin to return with potentially damaging gusts on Friday and into the weekend (although not as intense as the past week has been for most places).
We track the wind, rain and snow – and who gets the sunshine – with your NZ forecast through to Sunday.
Tomorrow is the spring equinox – so windy westerlies are normal for this time of year!
*Programming note – we have a special video update today on Super Typhoon Ragasa which is near the Philippines and is heading towards Hong Kong and China.
