There are many keen shooters scanning your forecasts for the forecast for may 1st and 2nd which is the 2021 opening weekend. Could you provide a guess if thats acceptable language in your trade. Principally Thames area

It is cloudy and spitting in New Lynn, Auckland but your forecast is mainly sunny and 10% rain?

Probably quite accurate Ellen – basically nothing was recorded as rainfall (a trace) and the rain radar shows just one tiny spec of a shower barely detectable in an otherwise dry sky in the entire Auckland region (a few clouds moved through between 10am and 11am with a few spits under one cloud).

No one yet! Won’t know until Friday evening. While there is some chance of a thunderstorm (https://www.weatherwatch.co.nz/maps-radars/lightning/thunderstorm-risk) the risk is considered fairly low and isolated.
Cheers

How about getting rid of the annoying ads at the bottom of your webpage – they’re too intrusive and take up too much screen space.
The other ads are bearable and I understand it’s revenue for you, but I’m tending to use your site less and less.

Hi Jo, we’ve already spoken to the ad agency about removing that ad unit and we hope it will be gone soon. We’re a free service – we need advertising to provide this free service, but we are bringing in a paywall in the future which will give people the option of removing most ads too.
Cheers

Hi guys. You must have an aeroplane up in the sky flying just before the fronts that come over us. Your forecast this morning for Auckland was that the rain would arrive at 9am. It started absolutely pouring down outside my window in Grey Lynn at 9.01am. Astounding accuracy! Keep up the top notch work!

Hey Lee, thanks so much for the feedback! It’s amazing how accurate our rainfall data is (the NZ Govt confirmed last year it’s the most accurate in NZ which is very exciting). The computers and systems we’re using at IBM map the atmosphere every 15 minutes across the globe so in the same way that Google has mapped the earth, WeatherWatch/IBM has mapped the atmosphere 🙂 Today’s set up can be a bit hit and miss, so not everyone may have experienced perfect accuracy but it’s so great to get feedback like this.
