A low is drifting past Brisbane today bringing rain to coastal Queensland and will head directly towards NZ this coming weekend.
It’s likely to bring heavy rain to the West Coast, Nelson ranges and showers and hit and miss downpours into parts of the North Island.
Eastern areas of both islands look mainly dry.
Meanwhile, western Australia has a severe cyclone off the coast this week – one to definitely monitor but hopefully will remain mainly offshore. At the time of recording this video Tropical Cyclone Seroja was Category 2 with the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) advising a ‘Severe’ Categor 3 cyclone was likely within the next day or do.
