Wind and some wet weather is moving into both ends of NZ today and tomorrow bringing broken up rain bands and showers and pockets of windy weather. Humidity and temperatures will also go up over the next 24 hours, especially in the upper North Island as the subtropical low unravels and falls apart.
As we go into the weekend a more refreshing change returns with skies becoming drier (or remaining dry) in many places – we show you where the showers are. High pressure builds this weekend and moves into northern NZ next week, with westerlies further south.
Next week we’re also monitoring a potential tropical cyclone around the Coral Sea – it’s still a long way out but worth keeping an eye on future developments.
