NZ: High pressure slips away, wintry snap for some late week/Saturday

High pressure is still over New Zealand but it will slip away to the east this week allowing for West Coast rain and North Island showers to develop.

Winds increase as the week goes on, from the west and the north – lifting temperatures ahead of a colder change coming in around Friday or Saturday, bringing a spell of windy Autumnal westerlies this weekend.

We have your NZ forecast through to this Sunday.

Consistently simply so good. But maps are not necessarily oriented to the north, so please could we have the ‘top of New Zealand’ described as ‘the north of New Zealand’? The top of New Zealand (we’ll leave the Ross dependency out of this) is Aoraki/Mount Cook

Hey Phil,

May the 4th be with you!

Happy Star Wars Day!

If we overlay a Star Wars lens to our weather forecast – looks like the reign of the High (Galactic Republic) with the Low coming (Galactic Empire) is coming.. lol

Appreciate the great weather updates!
