A cooler change is moving into NZ tonight and Saturday then winds ease further on Sunday as high pressure starts to replace the current low pressure zone over the country.
High pressure, light winds (or westerlies) looks likely next week, with perhaps a couple of cold fronts over the South Island next Wednesday and Friday.
Rainfall for most regions over the coming week is below normal. We have an 8 day rainfall map to make sense of it.
We’re also monitoring the tropics for a potential tropical cyclone over the Coral Sea mid to late next week – it’s too far out to lock in, but we show you the latest modelling for that. It poses no immediate threat to NZ or Queensland at this stage. One to watch.
Finally, for our farmers with livestock, we have the latest facial eczema trend at the very end as we continue to see it spike this month.
