NZ will be warm in many places this weekend with inland downpours and thunderstorms – following a wet and windy Friday in the upper North Island (mostly Auckland region with blustery easterlies over 80km/h in exposed places).

Australia has a cold change arriving on Sunday and Monday with wintry (or spring-like) weather again – and more widespread rain as far north as QLD.
