There are several low pressure zones and cold fronts coming into NZ, with westerly driven weather dominating our weather pattern perhaps for the rest of July due to a lack of high pressure centred over us.
This means westerlies will blow through, bringing heaviest rain to the western side of the nation – especially the South Island.
The flip side is that eastern areas look to be entering a drier phase now – something Cantabrians may love after several big wet events in recent months, but some in Hawke’s Bay needing rain may not love so much.
We have your NZ forecast to the middle of next week.
