VIDEO: King’s Birthday Weekend Weather as low forms in Tasman Sea

We tell you who gets rain, wind, cloud and sun this long weekend around New Zealand as mild subtropical and Australian airflows move in for Friday and Saturday, but then a cooler south to south-westerly flow arrives for Sunday and Monday.

Next week high pressure crosses NZ bringing colder nights and mornings again, but a low in the Tasman Sea is worth monitoring. For now it will be impacting the south-easter corner of Australia but at some point it may well drift over to NZ too. We have the forecast for NZ this holiday weekend and the outlook for next week too.

*Programming Notes:
– Friday we have both a NZ Video update and our June ClimateWatch update
– Monday we have NO VIDEOS
– Tuesday back to usual programme
