NZ has a surge of windier weather coming in and it will feel more like mid-Spring than the start of a La Nina summer.
La Nina usually brings in more east to north east winds and rain – which we have had lately.
However the Southern Ocean is much more stormy than usual – and it’s these storms that are generating the windy weather.
