Heavy rain and damaging wind gusts are forecast today, tonight and into Friday across parts of New Zealand as a storm over the Tasman Sea continues to spin. The low itself will fall apart late on Friday night near Fiordland, bringing one last surge of gusty wind and West Coast rain before clearing the country by Saturday.
