Temperature changes for some regions ahead of heavy West Coast rain

A nor-wester is about to kick in and it’s coming from out of Australia, boosting temperatures in some regions going into Friday and Saturday, before a temperature drop on Sunday.

Heavy West Coast rain will move northwards and clip some parts of the North Island from about Taranaki to Horowhenua. Some rain in the South Island will also spillover into Southland, Otago and Canterbury.

Next week, low pressure in the Tasman Sea may bring yet another burst of rain – it’s not yet locked in, and we’ll have more details in our Friday update tomorrow.
