For the next few days low pressure will crawl over the upper North Island, driving in rain as far south as the South Island, which will then mix with a polar airflow to bring snow on the South Island mountains, ranges and hilltops, and some wet weather into the upper South Island.
There are pockets of slow moving heavy rain – and that coupled with NZ’s mountains and ranges means that rainfall totals in your forecast may well change each day this week. We show you the latest on the expected areas of rain, snow and who gets the cold change – and when.
We also have a 7 day rainfall map to make sense of it all – and we’ll update this again in our Thursday video.
