UPDATED
WeatherWatch.co.nz reports that the Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued earlier this evening for those between Whangarei and Auckland, has been lifted.
The Lightning Tracker now shows limited activity.
A band of heavy showers is still tracking down towards Auckland however is weakening as it heads south.
