A cold airflow will spread over NZ this week, starting in the SI tonight and going nationwide mid week. It will bring frosts into both main islands, potentially as far north as Auckland around Wed/Thu.

More wet weather is coming for the West Coast and Southland, with lower totals for the North Island and eastern and upper South Island.

The colder change will bring tough windchill conditions for newborn livestock, while frost potential into the upper North Island brings risks for growers/horticulture.
