POLL RESULTS: Kiwis play it safe with forecasts

The results of our latest poll are back – and, dare we say it, we’re happy with the results!

We asked our readers to let us know how many sources they trusted for their weather news – or whether we were it – and the people have spoken, loud and clear!

While Weatherwatch isn’t out on its own as the clear leader, we’re aware that many of our readers and contributors are avid weather fans, along with many who rely on accurate predictions – and will keep an eye on several forecasts at the same time.

Nearly 46% of respondents said they relied on just two main forecasters for their weather fix – us (clearly!) and one other.
We’re interested in getting feedback as to how we’re doing with our accuracy – aware that no-one gets it 100% right all of the time, but we’re confident that our models are as good as, if not better than, anything else on the market!

It was great to read some of the really positive comments from voters on the poll, one of which, from Dave, read:

“Thank goodness we have all the other info from WW and others to look at.
WW videos are by far the best thing available in terms of weather predictions and I look forward to them each week. Well done Phil a great service.”

So keep watching this space for more – we really appreciate your support and contributions, and look forward to getting ever quicker and more accurate, as technology and systems improve!
