VIDEO: Severe weather for parts of NZ, ahead of more high pressure

A large low in the Tasman Sea will bring further heavy rain and strong winds to western and southern parts of NZ, and maybe the upper North Island too over the next couple of days.

As we go into the weekend showers ease back, especially by Sunday, with colder/cooler air moving back in to the South Island.

Next week more high pressure – but a low (potential storm) may develop east of New South Wales next week and might reach New Zealand one week from today.
