VIDEO: Another big low late week brings severe weather risks to NZ

Severe weather is back in the forecast later this week after we kick off July with high pressure at the start of this week. The settled, cooler, start to the week will give way to subtropical winds later this week. The large low brings instability around Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the top of the South Island and top of the North Island both most exposed to the rain and wind.

We give you the Big Picture for the week ahead and the first weekend of July.

Don’t forget our ClimateWatch outlook (for the month of July) is out tomorrow, Tuesday July 1st.
