NZ VIDEO: Weekend weather, daylight saving begins – and how October will kick off

A cold front is moving up NZ today bringing West Coast thunderstorms and windier weather into a number of regions, especially going into the North Island.

Saturday morning will be colder for some, with the chance of frosts through the South Island’s interior and sheltered areas – this frost risk melts on Sunday as windier nor’westers kick back in again.

Monday kicks off wil cooler air – and by later next week windier, warmer, subtropical or Australian nor-westers will move in, along with some calmer days too.
