Surges of windy weather, with some damage potential, is in the NZ forecast off and on for at least another week, if not the rest of September.
High pressure north of NZ and low pressure south of us is why we’re in the middle of spring westerlies.
Although, for Friday, low pressure is crossing the North Island with some rain and showers – as this clear tonight it ushers in a very windy Saturday nationwide – easing back later on Sunday.
Next week westerly quarter winds and cold fronts continue.
We also have your 7 day rainfall outlook for New Zealand.
Have a great weekend!
