Monday’s national forecast – High centred to the east

A large high sits out to our east today pushing an east to northeasterly airflow over New Zealand.

North Island

Cloudy in the east with showers. Out west expect sunny spells, a few showers may brush past Coromandel and Northland. Southeasterly winds.

South Island

Mostly cloudy in the west, chance of a shower or drizzle patch. Nelson and Marlborough have a mix of sun and cloud. Elsewhere in the east is mainly sunny after any morning coastal cloud clears, there could be a fog patch for some inland areas and about Southland / Otago this morning then clearing away. East to northeasterly winds.
