Cloudy periods for North Westland, the odd shower also, sunnier and drier further south. Nelson has a mainly sunny day. Canterbury and Marlborough start off with some sun then cloud builds during the morning with south to southwesterly winds, staying mainly dry. Central Otago and inland South Canterbury stay mainly sunny all day, Southland and coastal Otago have a mostly cloudy day with occasional showers and snow flurries to 300 or possibly 200m.
