Global CO2 emissions levels ‘did not rise’ in 2014

The International Energy Agency has found annual global emissions of CO2 did not rise in 2014 – showing international efforts to tackle carbon emission levels around the world has made some impact.

The agency claims China, the world’s largest carbon polluter, is among the main reasons emissions stalled last year.

The large Asian nation is believed to have cut its use of coal – one of the biggest sources of carbon emissions in favour of more hydro-electricity, wind and solar power.
