Colder weather is yet to spread nationwide, doing so over the next few days ahead with the polar boundary going north of NZ ensuring the entire nation will feel the chill. Frosts expand in both main islands and may go into parts of Auckland and Northland on Thursday if the cloud/wind clears enough, with heavier frost through the interior of both islands.

While Friday and Saturday may see a pulse of warmer, that changes again on Sunday and Monday as another surge of wind, rain/showers and snow flurries again moves up NZ.

Windchill (which you can view freely in the WeatherWatch App and RuralWeather website) will be around zero, or below it, for a time which will make for tough lambing conditions.
