Fairly settled over the country today with light winds for most, a front lingering over the lower South Island continues to bring some patchy rain.

Northland
Mostly sunny weather with light winds, afternoon sea breezes then easing in the evening.
Highs: 20-22

Auckland

Sunny areas and some cloud from time to time, light winds tend southwesterly.
High: 19

Bay Of Plenty

Sunny with light winds.
High: 22

Waikato & Central North Island

Mostly sunny weather with light winds, any early morning cloud
clears.
Highs: 20-22

Eastern North Island

Sunny with light winds tending east northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 19-21

Western North Island

Sunny areas and some cloud, west to southwesterly winds.
High: 19

Wellington

Sunny spells with northerlies easing in the afternoon, perhaps tending
southerly for a time.
High: 17

Nelson

Sunny with light winds, tending northerly in the afternoon.
Highs: 20-21

Marlborough

Early cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, light winds.
High: 22

Canterbury

Periods of cloud, a few sunny spells. Southerlies develop this morning then
tend northeasterly in the afternoon.
High: 17

West Coast

A cloudy start with any early drizzle clearing, sunny spells break through
by midday. Light winds. About South Westland expect morning rain which eases to
patchy showers or drizzle then finally clearing by evening, northeasterlies.

Coastal Otago

Southerlies freshen in the morning bringing a few showers then clearing,
cloudy periods for the remainder of the day with northeasterlies developing by
evening.
High: 11

Central Otago

A few light morning showers clear then expect sunny areas and mid to high
level cloud. Light northwesterlies.
High: 16

Southland

Rain becoming patchy during the morning then finally clearing in the
evening. Light winds tend northeast later in the day.
High: 13
