Today we asked our Facbook readers at WeatherWatch.co.nz to rate the day weatherwise out of 10 with 0 being the worst and 10 being the best.
This is what they came up with and overall it seems a decent day hung over Aoteoroa.
Rosemary in Auckland trumpeted “10!!!! Cold but perfectly stunning day! I’m in Browns bay Auckland =)”. In Christchurch they were raving about the sunshine as well with Koen saying “10 for Chch – beautiful weather here today!”
Those in the far south weren’t quite as happy weren’t quite so happy with Pauline simply saying “4-5 Here in Mosgiel“. Tania has been in South Canterbury today but it seems the weather has been slowly changing as the day comes to an end “Its been beautiful warm and sunny (9) up until bout an hour ago ,now it cold windy and sucky.(2).Timaru“.
Another Aucklander and Mikaela says she only gives top marks when the white stuff occurs “Barely a cloud in the sky all day in Devonport – icy wind, but the sunshine is beautiful! 9 from me. (I only give 10s when it snows).”
Holly chimed in further north with “we are in Ruakaka (close to Whangarei) id rate it a 7, beautiful day but dam cold!!!
Denis in Taranki commented “13 in New Plymouth, beautiful day with huge frosty start”.
It seems that the weather was good in the main but some extra warmth could have been good for some.Chilly conditions are likely for many tonight with the freezing mark approaching for a fair chunk of the country but some cloud could keep it a little higher in some areas.
