VIDEO: NZ: Incoming high, but is that another sub-tropical low too?

A cooler and drier weekend is on the way as high pressure moves in and lingers over the country through a large part of next week.

As this high slips away to our east mid to late next week it will encourage a sub-tropical airflow down over parts of the country, along with windier westerlies in the south.

But a new low pressure zone may well develop again in the subtropics, with a chance of some heavy rain and wind at the top of the North Island later next week and next weekend.

We have your 7 day rainfall forecast too, brought to you by Resupply.co.nz.

Programming note – We are away on Monday due to other work commitments, but we’ll be back on Tuesday May 6th with both NZ and Australia weather video updates. Have a great weekend!
