High pressure from Australia will cross the country over the coming days, building from the south. However low pressure remains stuck around northern NZ for a few more days driving in some rain and showers and keeping things a little milder around Northland (milder for this time of year).
The colder air will spread further northwards by early next week as the main area of high pressure from Australia moves in.
This high is likely to dominate much of NZ’s weather next week bringing drier than usual weather for this time of year to a number of regions.
