It’s still wet for the eastern North Island but it will be frosty for many inland parts of the South Island tonight as we transition away from a North Island low and into some brief settled weekend weather.

However by Sunday/Monday the westerlies return bringing a windy, wetter week for western NZ next week – and also for the south eastern corner of Australia.
