Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
A mix of sun and cloud about Northland and Auckland, mostly sunny conditions for the Waikato and Bay Of Plenty. Southwesterly breezes for most although tending northeast in the afternoon about the Bay Of Plenty.
Highs: 23-24

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Any morning cloud with the chance of a light shower or two breaking away then mostly sunny by midday, light winds from the southerly quarter.
Highs: 19-23

Eastern North Island
Cloud and the chance of a few light showers about the Wairarapa this morning, Hawkes Bay later in the afternoon and Gisborne in the evening as light winds tend to the southeast. Mostly sunny weather beforehand with light winds.
Highs: 20-23

Wellington
Light winds tending southeasterly, there may be some cloud this morning otherwise mostly sunny.
High: 20

Marlborough & Nelson
Light easterlies about Marlborough bring cloudy areas, chance of a light shower otherwise mainly dry. Some sun starts to break through from afternoon. Nelson has a mainly sunny day with light winds tending northerly in the afternoon.

Canterbury
Morning cloud beaks to mostly sunny weather, light southerlies at first then freshening from the northeast by midday becoming fairly breezy about the coast.
Highs: 17-20

West Coast
Any early showers clear then mostly sunny with southwesterly winds, a few further light showers about Fiordland from afternoon.
Highs: 17-19

Southland & Otago
Sunny areas and some cloud for Southland, there may be a spot of morning rain otherwise mainly dry. Otago has a mainly sunny day. Northwesterly winds, breezy at times about coastal Southland.
Highs: 17-22
