Sunday’s national forecast – Showers + Warm in the north, cold in the eastern SI (+7 Maps)

Today is a complicated day. We have a low trying to form over the North Island and high pressure trying to build over the lower South Island.

The low forming over the North Island is complicated and will see a mixture of dry spells, drizzle patches and some big downpours with even the odd isolated thunderstorms.

If you live in the eastern South Island – yes, today is well below normal. In fact the daytime highs will be over 8 degrees below where they should be.

But many North Islanders have warmer weather.

Many people ask us when the rain will fall – this is why we provide hourly data in your specific local area – so please check hourly details for your local forecast at WeatherWatch – or, migrate over to www.RuralWeather.co.nz to get even more indepth data. It will seriously help! 🙂
