A ridge spreading out from an anticyclone in the Tasman Sea brings mainly settled weather to the country tonight, still, there may be a fair bit of cloud about in areas. Winds generally ease off later this evening with light winds overnight for most.

Areas of cloud with southwesterlies easing later this evening.

Central North Island, Waikato
& Bay Of Plenty

Cloud increasing this evening with southeasterly winds freshening, chance
of a shower developing later especially about the Bay Of Plenty, northeastern
parts of the Central North Island then overnight about eastern Waikato.
Tonight’s Lows: 10-14

Eastern North Island

Fairly cloudy with southerly breezes, cloud breaks up overnight with winds
easing.
Tonight’s Lows: 10-12

Western North Island

Clear areas and some cloud, southeasterlies ease becoming light overnight.
About northern Taranaki winds tend a little more southerly.
Tonight’s Lows: 8-10

Wellington

Some cloud developing later this evening, southerly breezes tend northerly
overnight.
Tonight’s Low: 11

Nelson

Mainly clear skies overnight with light winds, northerlies ease later this
evening.

Marlborough

Any light showers clear this evening with easterly breezes easing later,
cloud breaks up overnight.
