There is a fairly slack air pressure gradient over the country tonight with not much wind about. Expect some rain for the east coast of the North Island and on the West Coast of the South Island. Elsewhere skies are fairly cloudy and there will be the odd shower about, some will remain dry.

The odd shower clearing later this evening then expect cloudy spells, light westerly winds.

The odd shower, clearing overnight. Light winds.

Cloudy with the odd shower possible this evening, could be a fog patch or two develop overnight. Light winds.

Cloudy with the odd shower, light easterly winds.
Lows tonight: 6-7

Eastern North Island
Rain with easterly breezes.
Lows tonight: 9-10

Western North Island
Mostly cloudy with light winds, the odd shower.
Low tonight: 8

Marlborough, Nelson & Wellington
Cloudy, a few showers move through overnight. Light winds tend northerly about Wellington.
Low tonight: 7-10

The odd light shower clearing this evening north of Banks Peninsula, cloudy skies otherwise. Easterlies near the coast ease this evening, light winds inland.

West Coast
Patchy rain, a few areas may be a little more persistent. Light northeasterlies.

Coastal Otago
Clear spells and some cloud, could be some low cloud or fog towards dawn. Light northeasterlies.

Central Otago
Clear with some high cloud, light winds. Could be a fog patch or two towards dawn also.
