Cold polar air remains over NZ this week before a brief “warming up” this weekend as northerlies return – ahead of rain clouds and some wind on Monday, then a snowy/wet polar blast next week.

The cold(er) change next week will come with wet weather – either as snow, rain or hail – and this poses some difficulties for those already in lambing and calving.
