We have your forecast for this weekend, next week, Waitangi Day and the long weekend next weekend as high pressure grows around the country. Many regions will have more “summer like” weather, but on Monday/Tuesday a burst of wind, rain and a temperature drop is expected as a low tracks south of the country.
But by the end of Tuesday the next big high is rolling in – and should bring a fairly settled week next week. It’s still a week away, so can’t be locked in with total certainty yet, but there is the chance of a little bit of wet weather on Waitangi Day in the lower half of the South Island (we’ll lock that in with more detail in our Monday update). High pressure is still expected for the long weekend in many regions.
