A storm in the Southern Ocean has today prompted MetService forecasters to issue rain warnings for the South Island’s west coast and mountain regions.
The warnings also cover the headwaters of Otago and Canterbury lakes and rivers.
You’ll find all current warnings here.
Taranaki, the Tararua Ranges northern parts of the South Island may also have rain warnings issued in the near future.
Wind warnings may also be issued for Wellington, Marlborough, the Rimutaka Ranges and Wairarapa for the weekend.
