A complex series of lows drags a tropical airmass over New Zealand bringing rain, rain will be heavy for some especially about exposed northeastern parts of the North Island.

Northland

Periods of rain, heavy falls overnight. Northeasterlies.

Rain with heavy falls at times, northeasterly winds.

Bay Of Plenty

Rain with heavy falls, breezy east to northeast winds.

Tonight’s Low: 13

Waikato & Central North Island

Rain with heavy falls possible, easterly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-12

Eastern North Island

Cloudy with easterly winds, patchy falls about the Wairarapa turning to
rain this evening. Dry further north with patchy rain or drizzle moving in
overnight.

Western North Island

Periods of rain with easterly winds.
