An anticyclone in the Tasman Sea spreads a ridge over the country tonight, many areas will have clear skies and cool temperatures especially inland.

Auckland & Northland
Remaining cloud clearing this evening for most, clear skies overnight with southwesterlies tending lighter southerly. About the Coromandel there may be a period of cloud this evening with the chance of a shower then clearing.

Central North Island, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Any remaining areas of cloud clearing this evening, southeasterlies ease
overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 5-11

Eastern North Island

Fairly cloudy with cool southerlies, the odd shower or drizzle patch about
Hawkes Bay and Gisborne continues overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Western North Island

Mainly clear skies with southeasterlies easing later this evening. Brisk
southerlies about Taranaki easing a little overnight.

Wellington

Clear with a few clouds about, southerly breezes.

Any remaining cloud clearing this evening, northerlies ease later with
light winds overnight.
