A cold front is moving up NZ today and into Tuesday, but will fall apart as it heads north and runs into more high pressure.
NZ is on the edge of high pressure for most of this week and weekend, which encourages southerly and westerly airflows over the country. Most regions will get some showers, but heaviest rain looks to be on the West Coast, especially later this week and going into Saturday.
A low is also developing between Vanuatu and Fiji, but this isn’t expected to affect NZ’s weather.
