Breezy in parts – The Big Picture on Thursday

On Thursday we have a breezy to brisk northwesterly airflow for much of New Zealand, though it shouldn’t be rough enough to cause too many problems.

A front slowly moves northwards over the South Island during the day, delivering some rain in the west, and high cloud out east.

A high is centred to the northwest of the North Island in the northern Tasman Sea, meaning for the North Island it’s looking cloudy in the west with west to southwest winds.
Conditions should stay mostly sunny along the East Coast and about the Bay Of Plenty through the day, for another fine example of early summer.
