Another mainly settled day across New Zealand today thanks to high pressure, warm temperatures in the east.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mist or fog possible morning and night, a mix of sun and cloud otherwise. Northland and Auckland sees a few isolated showers in the afternoon, moving into Bay Of Plenty in the evening. Light winds.
Highs: 14 – 16


Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Cloud for Taranaki down through to Kapiti, Kapiti may see a light shower or two from afternoon. Further inland skies are sunnier but expect fog morning and night with frosts. Light winds tend west to northwest after midday.
Highs: 10 – 14


Eastern North Island
Mostly sunny, there may be some cloud in the afternoon north of Napier and for Wairarapa. Winds from the northwest, tending east to northeast in the afternoon for Hawkes Bay.
Highs: 15 – 17


Wellington
Areas of cloud, there may be a spit or shower from afternoon, more so in the north. North to northwesterly winds.
High: 13


Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny, north to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 14 – 17


Canterbury
Sunny, north to northwesterly winds, tending northeast in the afternoon near the coast.
Highs: 14 – 16

West Coast
Mostly cloudy, a few showers possible, especially for Fiordland. Light winds.
Highs: 11 – 13

Southland & Otago
Mostly sunny, a few evening clouds. North to northwesterly winds, tending east to northeast in the afternoon for coastal Otago.
Highs: 14 – 17
