Mainly settled today thanks to high pressure, there will be areas of cloud about though and fog morning and night.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
North of about Auckland has cloud drifting in from the Tasman Sea, a few light showers mainly in the west, gentle southwesterlies. Auckland is cloudier in the north, there may be some sun in the south. Waikato and Bay Of Plenty are mostly sunny but expect fog morning and night, light winds.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Sunny, morning cloud clears Taranaki. Fog morning and night for most. Light winds.
Highs: 9 – 14

Eastern North Island
A mix of sun and cloud, chance of a coastal shower mainly about Mahia Peninsula. Gentle southwesterlies.
Highs: 11 – 14


Wellington
A mix of sun and cloud, light winds.
Highs: 11 – 12


Marlborough & Nelson
Mostly sunny for Marlborough, Nelson has a mix of sun and cloud with the chance of an early shower for Tasman. Light winds tend onshore in the afternoon.
Highs: 12 – 13


Canterbury
Sunny, morning mist or fog possible, especially inland. East to northeast winds.
Highs: 12 – 13


West Coast
Partly cloudy, fog morning and night for inland Buller. Showers for Fiordland spreading a little further north later in the day. Light winds.
Highs: 11 – 14


Southland & Otago
A mix of sun and cloud for Southland, Otago is mainly sunny with any morning cloud clearing, a few whiffs of high cloud during the day. Light north to northwesterly winds, tending northeast for coastal Otago after midday.
