Storms south of Australia will start to affect NZ later this week as an active cold front moves in, followed by a colder southerly this weekend.  Severe weather is possible later this week, especially the West Coast, the north-west corner of the South Island (yes, again) for heavy rain – and central NZ for gales/strong winds..
