Wednesday’s national forecast

It is a chilly morning out there, but it looks like things are going to be quite settled today.  High pressure will works its magic on New Zealand and provide a pleasant Wednesday, despite the frosty start.

Expect plenty of sunshine across the entire country with just a few clouds to landscape the sky.  More clouds are expected across the deep south today.  A few light showers could pop up about inland Otago.

Otherwise, it will be dry across the country.  Look for highs today to range from the lower to middle teens.

Hi,

What’s the weather likely to be like on Sunday morning, especially the wind, for getting out on the water at Mahurangi? Seems a front is coming in from the Tasman, with strong winds! Thank you.

Hi there – keep an eye on our wind and swell maps as we head into the weekend….it’s all about timing on Sunday.  Those winds will pick up in coastal areas at some point – but it could be anywhere from early morning to the end of the day, timing is always the trickiest part of predictions beyond a couple of days.
