Wednesday Newsfeed: Showers, long dry spells ahead of Saturday’s weak low

A sou’west air flow continues across the country – meaning we have weather coming in from the Tasman Sea and Southern Ocean areas. A few showers carry on, mostly in the south and west of New Zealand.

Over Thursday and Friday warmer winds will move in for many – although another cold front brushes the lower South Island on Friday.

By Saturday a low pressure zone is expected to bring patchy rain and showers to the North Island and maybe the top of the South Island. We’ll have more details in our weather video out this afternoon.
