This week kicks off colder, clearer and frostier for a number of areas – but as the week goes on average conditions return and by the end of the week sub-tropical northerlies spread back down over both islands.

The warmer end to the week will be good news for farmers wanting grass growth – and good news for farmers in the east who need some extra rain due to the El Nino westerlies (which have helped bring an early spring to many regions this year).
