Temperatures will be several degrees above normal in parts of NZ for the next few days but a wintry change arrives on Friday and Saturday.

Saturday looks to be especially windy and colder in many regions.

Sunday is still windy in exposed and coastal areas and by Monday some areas may even be bouncing back to sub-tropical again.
