Heat plus humidity is combining to make conditions feel even hotter/muggier over a large portion of the North Island and parts of the South Island, while a drier/hotter heat continues in the east – especially in the week ahead.

Australia is having another heatwave and some of this heat will push across NZ over Sunday to Tuesday, especially the North Island.

Meanwhile the South Island and the southern North Island are more unsettled with windier events and a few temperature surges up and down over the coming week.
