VIDEO: High pressure crosses NZ but offshore lows in the mix

Frosty weather will melt away this week as milder airflows kick in – followed by a bit of late week rain or showers before the next enormous high pressure zone moves in.

Two powerful high pressure systems dominate New Zealand’s weather this week – but a subtropical low brings cloud, showers and easterlies to northern NZ to start with, then late week as we are briefly “between two highs” there’s a bit of wet weather to move through – but currently looks to clear this weekend as the next powerful high pressure zone out of Tasmania moves our way.

We have your NZ forecast through until Sunday.
