Classic mid-spring weather is here with a windy weather on the way for many places. Halloween weather across NZ looks a little unsettled later today with the chance of showers in both islands – but plenty of dry spells and not very windy either.

In Australia it’s a different story with unsettled weather across the south eastern corner as far north as Sydney. Tuesday is the Melbourne Cup in Victoria – it’s a windy and showery day there with even the risk of a thunderstorm. Gales arrive in NZ on Wednesday and linger until Friday before easing.

This Saturday looks more settled in both NZ and Australia as high pressure moves in.
